With all five seats up, you have 625L of space but pop that back row down and that jumps up to 1760L - which is outstanding. The boot has a cubby for a first-aid kit, space saver spare tyre and a 12V port. There's also luggage anchors and shopping bag hooks.

The standard car's 685-litre boot shrinks to 485 litres in the iV, but with the seats down there's a cavernous 1,610-litre load bay (versus 1,760 in the petrol and diesel models). Although, we did have some thoughts about how much you could pack into the Superb iV after living with it - especially as a family car.
With the rear seats up, the boot measures an impressive 660 litres. It's a best-in-class figure, although the significantly smaller Peugeot 308 SW matches this number (but weirdly the 508 SW doesn't even come close). If you go for the Superb iV plug-in hybrid, the boot space falls to 510 litres due to the battery pack taking up some room.
